Decembertime Ramblings (2017 Edition)

It’s a busy time of year for most of us. Schedules cranked up to 11. Mrs. Hoke and I had a chance to slow down recently when a heavier than expected snowfall enveloped our little town in a blanket of white fluff. We sat on the couch for a while and watched it fall and deepen. Then we wrapped ourselves up and walked over to the grocery store, bought chili-making essentials, and walked home. We made chili. We ate chili. We watched it snow.

That night, we hitched up the hounds and went barcrawling (have I mentioned that we just moved closer to downtown?). I took several photos over the course of our snowday. These are them:

Empty Park Bench #1

Empty Park Bench #2

Empty Park Bench #3

Railroad Tracks

The View 1/2 a Block from Our Backdoor

Ceiling Ornaments at Southern Appalachian Brewery

Iced-over Raingutter. Stringlights. Wintersky. (Southern Appalachian Brewery)

Lit Tree on Main Street

Chicken. Pig. Tree. (Sanctuary Brewing Company)

It was a good day.

2017 is winding down. Fading fast. Etc. Here’s hoping the remaining days are good for one and all. One last little thing: 6 seconds of video beside a stream in Patton Park as the snow falls...

Thank you for reading this thing. Thatisall.

Good words and pictures. Some days I feel like a robot.
